Today Steve did something I’m way too chicken to do – he had his wisdom teeth pulled. Two teeth had cavities which were resulting in daily headaches so he finally decided to take the plunge and have them all removed. Apparently, the surgery was extremely easy and he did very well. It only took about 40 minutes and required no stitches. We’re home now after stopping at Mickey D’s for a large chocolate shake so the poor guy could eat. Now, the recovery period begins. Wish him well!
Tell him he’d better do what you tell him to do because Nurse Ratchett will be here Saturday and her sister says she’s REALLY mean! Glad to hear his surgery went well and I know you and the kitties will give him lots of TLC. Let me know if I need to load up on frozen daiquaris for Christmas for him! 🙂
9:40 p.m. – Update. Steve’s done really well today. He’s been taking his pain meds to stay ahead of the game. Of course I’ve made sure he’s had some of his favorite foods – chocolate pudding, mac ‘n cheese, ice cream, etc. Tomorrow he should be able to eat some soft foods like scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes and some soup. All in all, he’s doing well.
I’m the one who will probably need the frozen daiquiris to get through Christmas!
Wisdom teeth can be tricky! Glad his came out easy – there aren’t many good excuses when you’re an adult to lay around and be taken care of – hope he enjoys his down time!
