That’s how long we were without electricity. Things finally came on early this evening while we were eating dinner at Duane and Prudy’s. We’re staying here tonight while the house warms up. We checked on the kitties and they are fine. I think they’ve been much happier since we took them home even though it was cold and dark.
Tomorrow I start my class at MSU and Tuesday I start my welding course at OTC. We also still have a torn up bathroom. Still, we have electricity! Despite my oncoming cold, a disaster of a house, and a busy week ahead of us, I feel better than I have in days. Thanks to everyone who called to check on us, took us to dinner, gave us a place to sleep and shower, and just loved us when things looked really grim.
Yippee! Our power came on sometmie early this morning. I think this calls for a celebration!
Congrats to both of you.
I am still (somewhat) patiently awaiting power at CU. This commuting from Branson is awesome/vexing. Did get to watch campy 70s music show, Star Trek: The Old and Campy Version and The Simpsons with my brother last night, which was cool since usually I’m not in Branson on a Sunday night.
Let’s make a pact that if the four of us ever get to spend a week together again, that it will be somewhere warm, with a sandy beach and we will lay around all day with fruity drinks in our hands. Hmmm… that is sounding pretty good right now! 🙂
Zarah: I agree it’s celebration time! We have a lovely unopened bottle of champagne just waiting for the occasion!
Greg: I know you’re back among the power generation! Glad you survived life with the fam and are back home in your snuggly loft.
Carrie: Yes, sandy beaches, fruity drinks and room service are all in order next time we have to spend a week together. Still, you and Mick were great roommates and we really enjoyed Murphy’s company too!
